Alura
The wife of the Kryptonian scientist Zor-El and the mother of Supergirl. Since Zor-El and Superman's father, Jor-El, are brothers, Alura—also rendered Allura—is Superman's aunt (Act No. 252/2, May 1959: "The Supergirl from Krypton!").
When the planet Krypton explodes into fragments, Alura In-Ze and Zor-El—who have not yet married—and the other inhabitants of Argo City survive the death of their planet when their entire city was hurled into space intact by the force of the cataclysm. For years, the orphaned city drifts through space as life returns to an uneasy normalcy for the Kryptonian survivors.
