Alura
The wife of the Kryptonian scientist Zor-El and the mother of Supergirl. Since Zor-El and Superman's father, Jor-El, were brothers, Alura—also rendered Allura—is Superman's aunt.
When the planet Krypton exploded into fragments, Alura In-Ze and Zor-El—who had not yet married—and the other inhabitants of Argo City survived the death of their planet when their entire city was hurled into space intact by the force of the cataclysm. For years the orphaned city drifted through space as life returned to an uneasy normalcy for the Kryptonian survivors. Zor-El and Alura became husband and wife, and in time a blond baby, Kara, was born to the couple.
