Paul McKenzie

A painter “famous for his magnificent portrayals of heroes in action” until a tragic “mental collapse” caused his once, realistic art style to become disoriented and irrational. The artist is taken advantage of by the criminal Dr. Hugo Renaldo in a scheme to loot Metropolis. Superman helps McKenzie and stops Dr. Hugo Renaldo in his plot (Act, July 1952 No. 170: “The Mad Artist of Metropolis!”).
