A cowardly, “shifty-eyed little sneak-thief” who, fearful of gangland retaliation, refuses to come forward with testimony linking gangster Mike Chandler to a recent murder until Superman fakes his own death, poses as his own ghost, and tricks Moxby into making his eyewitness knowledge public (S No. 21/4, Mar/Apr 1943: “The Ghost of Superman!”).
