Vathlo Island was the home of a highly developed race of black Kryptonians on Krypton.
Vathlo Island retained its independence throughout history and did not join the planetary federation, though good relations were maintained.
Black Kryptonians were 1st seen in: (S No. 234, Feb 1971: "Prison in the Sky!")
