The Negative Superboy
After Superboy destroys a massive energy monster in deep space, an evil dark-colored and negatively-charged duplicate is created. Upon his return to Smallville, Superboy is dismayed that everyone, including the Kents, seems to embrace the Negative Superboy as his relacement. Later, he realizes that the evil "twin" has told how the world will be destroyed unless he leaves Earth, so the Boy of Steel bides his time until he can coax the negative clone far away from the planet and eliminate him permanently (SB No. 168/2, Sep 1970: "The Negative Boy of Steel!").
