An unscrupulous archaeologist who stumbles upon the young Supergirl's make-shift Fortress of Solitude in the Arabian desert. After learning of her existence before she has revealed her existence to the world, Brant and his wife adopt Linda Lee and blackmail her into providing them with untold riches. As a direct result of the accidental intervention of Streaky the Super Cat, the Brants lose their previous avarice and agree to let Linda return to Midvale Orphanage. After this close call, Supergirl decides to destroy her personal "fortress" (Act No. 271, Dec 1960: "Supergirl's Fortress of Solitude!").
