President of the Akme Construction Company, Nat Grayson hires Butch Crogan to slow down the construction of the Atlas Building, so that Bruce Constructions, Inc. will lose the contract and dominate the construction field.
Grayson is made to confess to the police by Superman in September 1939. He is susequently convicted and sentenced to the electric chair (S No. 2/3, Sep 1939: "Superman and the Skyscrapers")
