Shar-La

An alien humanoid girl from a planet dominated by women who loses control of her space vehicle and needs the help of Superboy. Upon noticing the Boy of Steel making a sexist joke about "women drivers", Shar-La decides to teach him a lesson using a weird power ring in her possession. She places a powerful hallucination in Superboy's mind that indicates that he has been transformed into a young woman, convincing him to adopt the new identities of "Super-Sister" and "Claire Kent".

By acting as a female super being under the mental illusion, Superboy comes to realize the special abilities and worth of women and how they are often looked down upon, and he apologizes to the space visitor before she leaves the Earth (SB No. 78/1, Jan 1960: "Claire Kent, Alias Super-Sister!").
